One-way clutch bearings

One-way clutches transfer torque during the cranking of self-start motors. They also prevent starter motor failure, by restricting reverse drive while the engine is running.

One Way Clutch typically has only four parts compared to the conventional design that comprises of seven different parts. The barrel, polymer cage, coil spring and rollers combine as a rigid system. In addition, One Way Clutch weight 10 to 20% less in average compared to conventional One Way Clutches.
